Christmas music in the church
I was mesmerised by the voices of the choir and the music earlier this evening . Was at a concert -"Christmas Music from Germany & France" at Kampong Kapor Methodist Church. It was organised by my friend Dr Thomas Manhart who is the director of Artyfakt.
The concert evoked certain memories of my choir days back in sec. school. Those days were fun...practising for SYF and performing during school festivities. There were a couple of public performances too.
Hmm..I wonder how many of you are shocked to know that I sing..hahah.. not only that.. I play the piano (lousy) too. Not trying to be a 'show off' , just that music has always been a part of my life..though (sadly) I am not very consumed by music itself.
I can name the composers of certain world renowed famous pieces and thats about it. Totally clueless about anything else more indepth.
Perhaps I just lack the passion for it. Passion is the key word here. I would have been a music teacher if I really had the passion and love for music as much as some of my good friends. *shrugs*
How did I even pass all the ABRSM exams?? *very puzzled* heheheeh
